Ben's Sugar Shack, located in Temple, New Hampshire, is one of the largest maple farms in the state and has been producing award-winning, 100% pure maple products since 2001. Owner Ben Fisk's passion for making maple syrup began when he was five years old, during a preschool field trip to a maple sugar house. The very next day, he and his father built a homemade evaporator and hung just 13 sap buckets. Although that first year produced less than a gallon of syrup, within ten years, at age 16, Ben won the Maple Producers Carlisle Trophy for the best syrup in New Hampshire.
Today, Ben's Sugar Shack has grown to include two sugarhouses and over 28,000 taps, producing more than 8,000 gallons of maple syrup annually. The operation now runs a 5-foot by 14-foot oil-fired evaporator and offers a wide range of products including maple syrup in all grades, maple candy, maple cream, maple sugar, maple cotton candy, flavored syrups, honey, and more. All products are non-GMO and gluten-free.
The brand-new Maple Station Market serves as the retail hub, offering the full product line along with maple creemees, maple donuts, maple roasted nuts, and prepared foods. Ben's Sugar Shack also provides corporate gifts, wedding favors, and bulk order options, with global shipping capability. During maple season, the farm offers free 30-minute tours where visitors can learn the sugaring process from tree to table.
