Between the Trees Farm exists because modern food has failed too many families. Founded by Hilary, the farm emerged from a personal health crisis when both she and her children suffered from health and behavior issues linked to processed, industrial food. After years of eliminating toxic foods from their diet and discovering that seemingly everything in the grocery store made them sick, Hilary began raising her own animals and witnessed firsthand how quality feed transformed her livestock's health from frequent medical problems to vibrant wellness.
The farm is committed to raising food that gives customers the absolute best nourishment to heal their gut and nourish their body. They steward the first herd of Lynch Linebacks in the United States, a rare, unchanged landrace line of cattle from Canada carefully preserved for over 50 years. These heritage cattle are valued for their gentle nature, sound feet and udders, and ability to thrive without high-input diets. Alongside them, they raise thoughtfully crossed pigs, selecting for grazing ability, weather hardiness, friendly temperaments, and rich, well-balanced pork.
Rather than chasing maximum production, Between the Trees Farm focuses on resilience, animal well-being, and exceptional flavor, raising livestock that fits the land, not the factory. Located in the Green Mountains of Vermont, they produce what they call "super food for busy people who want to be healthy," providing families with food their bodies recognize and thrive on. This is food raised with intention for families who are ready to stop managing symptoms and start nourishing themselves at the root.
