Paul Mitrano, the passionate owner behind Blackwater Honey Forge, has made it his mission to offer local, raw honey of the highest quality that is completely pure. His approach is simple and straightforward: from hive to jar, the honey is minimally processed to preserve its raw and natural state. It is only lightly strained to remove larger particles while leaving all the goodness like pollen and wax particles intact, and the honey is never heated beyond 105 degrees Fahrenheit to preserve its natural enzymes.
The seasonal surprises that each harvest brings delights Mitrano, as the honey can change color and flavor notes depending on what was foraged that year. Beyond honey, he creates a line of beeswax products including lip balm, beard balm, and lotion bars.
