About the Farm

Boissoneault Farm was established in 1971 by George and Mary Boissoneault as a conventional dairy operation that grew to house up to 500 head of dairy cattle. For over four decades, the family dedicated themselves to dairy farming, building the infrastructure and cultivating the land that would become their legacy in Vermont agriculture.

In 2014, the family faced one of their most difficult decisions when unpredictable price fluctuations in the dairy market and other challenging factors forced them to sell their dairy herd and cease all dairy production. Rather than abandon their agricultural heritage, the Boissoneaults sought innovative ways to utilize their established farm infrastructure, pastures, and cropland for a new venture.

Boissoneault Beef emerged in 2017 under the leadership of Jeff Boissoneault and his son Cody Boissoneault, representing a new chapter in the farm's evolution. Their mission centers on providing Vermont customers with the highest quality beef products at affordable prices, and their dedication to excellence has already established their presence in restaurants throughout Saint Albans while they continue expanding their reach across Vermont.
