Maple Syrup
Chase Family Sugaring is a smaller but expanding maple farm operating out of the small town of Landaff, New Hampshire. Their journey began humbly, evolving from homemade equipment used to make maple syrup for family and friends into a sophisticated operation using top-of-the-line equipment and techniques to produce a variety of maple products for all to enjoy. What started as a simple family tradition has blossomed into a thriving business that maintains its roots in time-honored New England maple sugaring practices.
For a remarkable period, Chase Family Sugaring was blessed with four generations working together to produce maple syrup. Each year around late February and early March, the family would dig out all the buckets and spiles and begin tapping to prepare for the sap runs of the season. Once the weather cooperated for maple season, with nights that freeze and days that thaw, it was time to spring into action. The gathering process evolved over the years from carrying sap all by hand to gathering around trails with a cletrac, then eventually with a four-wheeler.
Through the most recent ten years, Brandon, working alongside his father Preston and son Caleb, has continued to expand Chase Family Sugaring. The one constant that has never changed throughout their evolution is family. It has taken a full family effort to keep everything moving forward, creating wonderful memories of spending time outdoors together while producing a delicious product to share at the end of each maple season. They are passionate about two things: family and maple syrup, and this dedication shines through in every bottle they produce.
