About the Farm

Clark Farms at Bushy Hill Orchard is a testament to the enduring spirit of family farming in Connecticut. Purchased in 2010 by Allen and Becky Clark along with their son Zach, the orchard in Granby builds upon a legacy first planted by Hal and Nora Law in 1976. The Law family began with a vision and a few apple trees, welcoming the public for U-Pick experiences by 1980. The Clarks have since breathed new life into this historic land, rehabilitating the Apple Store and Creamery and transforming the site into a thriving multi-faceted farm destination.

Today, Clark Farms is much more than an orchard. With a cidery, a café, a bustling event calendar, and the Clark Farms Greenhouse in Suffield, the Clarks have cultivated a vibrant, seasonal community hub. Their farming philosophy is deeply rooted in sustainability, utilizing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices to grow fruit, vegetables, herbs, and plants in harmony with nature. Their orchard now features over 15,000 dwarf apple and peach trees grown on trellises, increasing both flavor and nutrition, while their greenhouse bursts with color each spring and fall, offering thousands of blooms and vegetable starts for home and commercial growers alike.

But what truly sets Clark Farms apart is its unmistakable warmth and authenticity. The café feels like home—with unmatched views of the orchard, simple comfort food, and a community spirit that encourages guests to slow down and savor. From cider slushies to trivia nights, apple picking to hosting weddings under the tented sky, the Clarks have created a place where the land, the food, and the people are beautifully intertwined. This is not just a farm—it is a living expression of family, tradition, and a deep love for growing.
