Founded in 2014, Coruscant Farm is a labor of love by the Jenne Family, rooted in the peaceful countryside of Ashford, Connecticut. The farm is a close-knit family venture, with Ginger leading the horticultural efforts with her green thumb, Doug applying his engineering skills to maintain the infrastructure, and their son helping feed animals and tend the garden. With their combined efforts, they've created a farm that honors heritage breeds and time-tested growing methods.
The philosophy at Coruscant Farm is built on gentleness and sustainability. They practice no-till agriculture, eschew harmful chemicals, and avoid antibiotics and hormones. Their Red Devon cattle are grass-pastured in warm seasons and raised on local hay in the winter, receiving attentive, humane care throughout the year. Their pasture-raised chickens are on the field year-round, foraging freely and producing well-loved eggs for the community.
Beyond meat and eggs, Coruscant Farm cultivates heirloom vegetables, fruits, and nuts, rotating crops and exploring unique seed varieties for each season. They offer garlic, melons, tomatoes, and more, much of it grown with compost, biochar, and vermicompost on-site. Their commitment to quality and care is evident in every offering, whether it’s a pasture-raised chicken or a naturally grown loofah sponge. Coruscant Farm embodies the spirit of small-scale, intentional farming devoted to nourishing both the land and the local residents.
