Cross Molina Farm is a diversified, family-run operation nestled in West Corinth, Vermont, where sustainable agriculture serves as the foundation for building and sustaining community. The farm has embraced the philosophy that local food should be accessible and affordable to everyone, accepting SNAP benefits and participating in programs that provide stipends for low-income families to purchase CSA memberships.
The heart of their operation lies in their commitment to organic and sustainable growing practices, raising a wide variety of vegetables using intensive, market-gardening techniques alongside pastured lamb, pork, beef and poultry. While not certified organic, they steadfastly refuse to use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, staying true to their environmental principles. Their approach reflects Wendell Berry's wisdom that the true measure of agriculture is found in the good health of the land.
In recent years, Cross Molina Farm has revolutionized the traditional CSA model, shifting from weekly green bag shares to their innovative Crossmolina Cash Card system that began in fall 2022. This flexible approach allows customers to choose exactly what they want, when they want it, at convenient locations including their Cookeville Market next to the Corinth Post Office and the Chelsea Farmer's Market. The farm has expanded beyond produce to include their own artisanal wood-fired bread, partnering with over thirty local artisans and producers, and even plans to open a second location at the old Thetford Village Store with an expanded cafe.
