About the Farm

Established in 1660, Emery Farm stands as the oldest family farm in the country, having remained in the same family for over 360 years. Located in Durham, New Hampshire, this historic farm sits on 130 acres of land where their connection to the earth runs deep and their commitment to keeping Emery Farm a working farm for generations to come remains unwavering. The farm has evolved throughout the years, with their farm stand operating as a cornerstone of their community presence.

The mission at Emery Farm centers on building community, promoting sustainability, and providing locally grown vegetables, fruits, and products. They take pride in their farming practices, refraining from using pesticides on their crops whenever possible. Almost all of their crops have never been sprayed, and when pest and disease management becomes necessary, they utilize organic sprays. The farm also partners with LocaBerry, where farmers and owners Jameson and Sarah grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers on the historic property for their CSA and the Market & Cafe.

Emery Farm has created a destination where customers can relax, have fun, and reconnect to the land. With over 95% of all products throughout their market sourced from New England, they demonstrate their commitment to providing the best quality products sourced as locally to Durham as possible. The farm offers a comprehensive experience including their Market & Café, Garden Center, Petting Barn with resident goats, a bunny, and a hen house, plus seasonal activities like pick-your-own blueberries, wagon rides, and farm tours.
