About the Farm

Farmer Tim's Vegetables began as one man's passionate pursuit of purpose. After years in the business world, owner Tim Carroll decided to follow his heart into farming, spending years searching for the perfect opportunity. In 2014, he found it in a 92-acre property in central Massachusetts that would become the home of his agricultural dream. The first season proved challenging, with spring snowfall, delayed equipment deliveries, and aggressive weeds testing his resolve, yet these early struggles forged a loyal customer base that recognized something special was taking root.

Today, Farmer Tim's has blossomed into a thriving operation spanning about 8 acres of mixed vegetable production, with growth continuing each year. The farm has evolved beyond its vegetable roots to include pasture-raised chicken and pork, offering over fifty different kinds of vegetables alongside their livestock. In 2021, the operation welcomed Jake Cardoza as Farm Manager, bringing his extensive agricultural experience from educational farms in Panama and Hawaii, commercial hydroponic operations, and a comprehensive apprenticeship at Brookfield Farm in Western Massachusetts.

At its heart, Farmer Tim's is driven by a mission that extends far beyond simple food production. The farm operates on organic principles while working toward certification, prioritizing transparency in all growing practices and maintaining deep care for soil, workers, customers, environment, and community. Their diversified approach emphasizes sustainability through soil-building techniques, protected growing methods, carefully monitored irrigation, and an unwavering focus on food safety and employee development. This holistic philosophy aims to simultaneously improve the land, enhance the local environment, and nourish their ever-growing community of customers with fresh, high-quality produce.
