About the Farm

Forage Farm emerged from a family's journey of relocation and purpose, when Randy and Marissa moved from Colorado to New Hampshire in 2021 with their children. Their transition marked not just a geographical shift but a transformation of roles: while Randy balances his work as a Realtor, real estate investor, and Chief Operations Officer at Snowboarders & Skiers for Christ, Marissa left her career teaching high school English to become the family's head farmer and focus on educating their children at home.

The farm's philosophy centers on regenerative agriculture that honors the natural instincts and needs of their animals while nurturing the land entrusted to their care. Their approach mirrors their belief that just like people, animals thrive with diverse diets, time outdoors, and purpose. Pigs are allowed to root and dig, chickens scratch and chase grasshoppers, and sheep rest peacefully in the sun alongside their flock, all regularly moved to fresh pasture to give the land time to rest and recover.

The name "Forage Farm" reflects their deeper understanding of wandering and searching as essential elements of health and growth. They believe their animals are healthiest when moving, grazing, and finding what they need on pasture, and that humans benefit from living the same way. This philosophy extends beyond farming practices to their spiritual journey, as they seek to follow natural rhythms and patterns that lead them to better food, deeper understanding, and more faithful stewardship of both land and community.
