Good Bunch Farm sits at the confluence of the Deerfield and North Rivers in Shelburne Falls, where the landscape of Western Franklin County provides the perfect backdrop for sustainable agriculture. Run by Dan Greene, this small farm has built its reputation on producing high-quality vegetables through sustainable practices, becoming a trusted name in the community since 2012. The farm's growing operation encompasses both field production and hoop house cultivation, allowing for an extended growing season and diverse crop offerings. The hoop houses provide season extension for tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, and greens, while the fields produce many varieties of vegetables that have become staples at local tables. In 2018, Dan realized a significant milestone by purchasing the farm's permanent 13-acre home in the hills of Western Massachusetts. The property came with an old farmhouse and land that had been inactive for 50 years, presenting both challenges and opportunities. Since then, the focus has been on renovating the farmhouse and bringing the land back to productive life, creating a sustainable operation that serves the community through their on-farm stand, appearances at the Ashfield and Shelburne Falls Farmers Markets, and partnerships with local restaurants and co-ops.
