Holiday Brook Farm is a fourth-generation, 1,300-acre farm located in the beautiful Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts. Originally part of Flintstone Farm, a 3,000-plus acre estate amassed by Fred Crane Sr. at the turn of the 20th century -- the same Crane family that owned one of the last family-run paper companies in the United States right in Dalton -- the farm has deep roots in the region's agricultural and industrial history. Today, under the stewardship of Desiree and Jesse Robertson-DuBois, Holiday Brook practices sustainable agriculture across its open fields, forests, and pastures.
The farm produces 100% grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured pork, organic vegetables, pure maple syrup, eggs, compost, firewood, and hay. All meats are naturally raised without routine antibiotics or hormones, and the animals get plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and room to roam. The farm also runs an ACRES Education Program offering school and farm tours year-round, and its renowned black gold screened compost is a favorite among local gardeners. Founded in 1895, Holiday Brook Farm is committed to leaving the landscape healthier than it found it.
