About the Farm

Karabin Farms began as a hobby in 1972 when Michael and Diane Karabin moved to Southington, Connecticut. What started with a few animals to teach their children responsibility has evolved into a thriving 50-acre family-run farm deeply embedded in the community. The Karabin family—now multiple generations strong—has built a legacy rooted in hard work, sustainability, and a passion for agriculture.

Today, Karabin Farms grows over 2,000 fruit trees and 10,000 Christmas trees, operates four greenhouses, and runs a bustling country store. They offer pick-your-own apples and pumpkins, hormone-free meats raised on-site, seasonal baked goods, flowers, maple syrup, and handcrafted items. The farm is known for its commitment to clean, local food and old-fashioned, hands-on farming practices—from maple syrup made the traditional bucket-and-boil method to holiday trees grown and cut by hand.

Whether you’re visiting to pick apples with your family, grab a frozen pasture-raised turkey for Thanksgiving, or pick out a Christmas tree with a cup of cider in hand, Karabin Farms offers an authentic, seasonal farm experience rooted in trust and tradition.
