Livewater Farm began its journey in the 1980s, producing fresh agricultural products organically in Windham county, Vermont. After moving through two locations, the farm found its permanent home in the rolling hills of Westminster West in 1997, where it expanded into a grass-based dairy operation. For decades, the farm has remained an active dairy, nurturing a herd of mixed-breed Normandy cows that graze on Vermont's lush pastures.
A significant milestone came in 2015 with the establishment of Livewater Dairy, created specifically to process the farm's own milk and develop market outlets for their dairy operation. Three years later, in October 2018, the farm completed a thoughtful four-year ownership transition to the next generation, ensuring the continuation of its agricultural legacy while maintaining its commitment to family operation.
Today, Livewater Farm and Dairy operates as a cohesive family enterprise with an unwavering emphasis on regeneration, conservation, and sustainability. The farm produces everything without chemical fertilizers, hormones, antibiotics, or pesticides, offering their community the freshest grass-fed raw milk alongside an impressive array of farm-made products. Their on-site farm stand serves as a hub for both their own goods and a carefully curated selection of local products, creating a year-round destination that celebrates Vermont's agricultural abundance.
