Main Street Maple & Honey Farm operates from the picturesque landscape of Belmont, New Hampshire, where their sugar house and honey bee farm have become integral parts of the local agricultural community. The farm follows the time-honored New England tradition of maple syrup production, collecting sap from maple trees across two different orchards and processing it into pure maple syrup using their wood-fired evaporator. Their maple season runs from February through early April, and they warmly welcome visitors to witness this age-old tradition firsthand.
The farm's beekeeping operation spans across multiple apiaries throughout the Lakes Region, featuring over 80 beehives distributed across 6 bee yards. Their approach to honey production is meticulous and locally focused, with queens that are raised and hand-selected specifically for exceptional performance in New Hampshire's challenging northern climate. This careful selection ensures that their colonies can bring in a wonderful nectar bounty that transforms into premium honey within their hives.
Beyond their core products of maple syrup and honey, Main Street Maple & Honey Farm has expanded their offerings to serve the broader beekeeping community. They provide bee packages, nucleus colonies, mated queens, and beeswax, while also offering essential services including local pollination, swarm recovery, and hive removals. Their honey harvest occurs twice yearly, yielding both a light, sweet early summer variety and a darker, richer late summer honey, giving customers the full spectrum of their region's floral diversity.
