About the Farm

Marshall Farm stands as a testament to agricultural persistence and family dedication, established in 1960 by Richie and Diane Marshall in the historic town of Concord, Massachusetts. What began as a simple wholesale tomato operation has evolved into a thriving third-generation family enterprise. The couple's vision took shape when they opened their first farmstand in 1970, converting their small garage into a retail space where they sold fresh vegetables and plants after adding greenhouses to their property.

The farm's growth continued steadily through the decades, marked by the construction of a new farmstand in 2010 that allowed for significant expansion of their product offerings. By 2014, the torch had passed to Richie and Diane's grandson Ricky, representing the third generation of Marshall family farmers, along with his partner Ashley. Together with their three children Emma, Hannah, and Nathan, they have embraced the responsibility of carrying forward the family legacy while adapting to modern agricultural practices.

Today, Marshall Farm operates on regenerative and sustainable farming principles, specializing in pasture-raised eggs and poultry, vegetables, fruit, and honey production. Their commitment to environmental stewardship is evident in their rotational grazing systems and their belief that caring for the land comes first. The farm has become a community destination where families can visit the mobile chicken tractors affectionately named the "Chick-Inn" and meet the goats and chickens that roam freely on the property, embodying their philosophy of creating a natural environment for their animals.
