About the Farm

Jeff and Debbie Moultroup are third generation farmers who have found their calling in the rolling hills of a beautiful Green Mountain river valley in Vermont. Their land tells a story of agricultural diversity spanning decades, having produced dairy, beef, vegetables and raspberries through the seasons. The couple brings deep experience to their current focus on grass-fed Black Angus beef, drawing from their intensive grazing expertise developed during their Jersey dairy operation from 1998 to 2008.

The Moultroup farm is more than just an agricultural enterprise; it's the beating heart of a multigenerational family legacy. Here, Jeff and Debbie raised their four children, who have since ventured into their own endeavors. Yet the valley remains alive with family connections, as five generations of Moultroups call this place home, including parents, siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandparents and grandchildren. This rich family tapestry creates a sense of continuity and shared stewardship that runs as deep as the valley's fertile soil.

Today, the Moultroups manage over 100 head of Black Angus cattle on their 70-plus acre farm, with their rich sandy loam soil producing the lush green pastures that nourish their herd. Their mission centers on producing healthy, enjoyable food for their family and local community, utilizing managed intensive grazing practices that benefit both land health and beef quality. They see their role as stewards of this good land, viewing it as a gift to be cherished and protected for future generations, guided by their faith and commitment to sustainable farming practices.
