Nestled in the scenic countryside of Franklin, Vermont, Muller Farms and Ranch represents the fulfillment of a passionate five-year dream. Donald, a local union pipe-fitter, and Jessica, a wedding photographer, are first-generation farmers who pursued their vision with remarkable determination. After hand-writing over 60 letters to local landowners in search of the perfect place, they made the bold decision to sell their home, buy an Airstream, and move onto a 100-acre farm with their two cats and Cane Corso, Boone.
Their journey into farming began during the pandemic, when they recognized the fragility of the U.S. food system. What started as a search for healthier food for themselves and their pets revealed the hidden preservatives, antibiotics, and fillers in grocery store meats, as well as the often inhumane treatment of animals. This awakening drove them to embrace regenerative farming practices that improve soil health, protect water sources, and eliminate harmful chemicals from their operation.
The farm's mission centers on providing high-quality, ethically raised meats to their community through food that's affordable, sustainable, and grown with care. Donald and Jessica are committed to proving that first-time farmers can succeed with minimal equipment, low overhead, substantial elbow grease, and a deep respect for the land. Through rotational grazing and sustainable methods, they aim to restore soil health, protect water sources, and foster vibrant, resilient landscapes while inspiring their community to support local farms and embrace food raised with genuine care.
