Narragansett Bay Lobsters was founded in 1993 in Pt. Judith, Rhode Island, under the leadership of Al Verrier and his daughter Lori Oldrid. The company quickly established itself as a leader in the lobster industry, processing over a million pounds of lobsters annually by 1996. As Rhode Island's lobster industry began to decline, the business expanded its role in the local seafood market under new ownership by Lee Morse and his son Adam Morse.
In 2008, Narragansett Bay Lobsters brought on Tom LaFazia and significantly expanded their facility to accommodate a full line seafood processing plant. Their state of the art HACCP facility now serves restaurants and markets that demand the highest level of quality and service from their seafood provider. The company's strategic dockside location in the fishing port of Galilee, Pt Judith, enables them to source locally caught seafood twelve months a year.
Narragansett Bay Lobsters prides itself on being more than just a product supplier, offering customers a wealth of knowledge, information and education about the seafood industry and the products they purchase and serve. They process whole fish to order and deliver seven days a week with their fleet of refrigerated trucks. Their mission centers on providing seafood products, services, and support that enable their customers to enhance their own businesses through superior quality and professional service.
