About the Farm

North Tisbury Farm's story begins in 2007 as Fiddlehead Farm, an up-island provisional market that became a beloved destination for islanders and visitors seeking local produce, fresh baked goods, gourmet ingredients, and artisanal cheeses. More than just a roadside farm stand, Fiddlehead Farm was a gathering place where community connections flourished through shared love of food, where regulars were known by name, herbs were cut to order, and recipes were jotted on butcher paper while stories were exchanged on the front porch.

After Fiddlehead Farm's indefinite closing, Rose Willett breathed new life into the historic site in 2018, reopening it as North Tisbury Farm. With a new name and fresh coat of paint but housed in the same charming building, Rose maintained the original passion for locally grown produce and devotion to customers that had made the location so special. Since its reopening, North Tisbury Farm has rapidly reclaimed its place as one of Martha's Vineyard's favorite farm markets.

Rose's philosophy centers on connecting with customers through the food they consume, selling only items that are responsibly produced, grown, and raised with minimal packaging whenever possible. The farm supports local and regional vendors while offering a curated selection of American and European artisanal products. They grow their own produce and flowers using sustainable practices, working in harmony with nature and maintaining completely chemical-free methods, with an estimated 95% of their harvest starting from seeds grown in their own historic greenhouse.
