When Adrienne and Wayne first discovered their 160-acre property in Lyndeborough in 2002, Paradise Farm was merely a glimmer of possibility on rolling New Hampshire hills. What they found was truly paradise as defined by Merriam Webster: a beautiful, pleasant, and peaceful place that seemed perfect. With its gorgeous panoramic views, huge expanse of sky, and natural serenity, they knew they had found something special in this breathtaking setting overlooking the Merrimack Valley and surrounding hills.
Over the past two decades, the couple has dedicated themselves to transforming their vision into reality through careful stewardship of the land. They spent years grooming the property, clearing hills to open up spectacular views, and methodically building their agricultural enterprise. Their journey began with planting 500 blueberry bushes and 1200 Christmas trees, working the existing apple orchard, and creating pastures. They officially opened their pick-your-own apple business in 2008, expanding over the years to include a variety of apple trees, pears, plums, peaches, table grapes, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries.
Paradise Farm operates with a clear mission: they farm not for the masses, but for those enlightened few who value real food over fake food. Their commitment to humane and natural animal raising is evident in their diverse livestock population of 20 goats, 100 chickens, 24 Scottish Highland cows, 24 Romney sheep, and 7 heritage breed pigs. They believe in slow growth methods, allowing animals to live and grow longer before processing, which enhances the flavor of their meat. All their animals are free of antibiotics, growth hormones, and GMOs, representing their dedication to producing the healthiest, most flavorful products possible.
