Partners' Gardens began as a love story that transformed into a farming journey when Jenna and Tyler met in Chicago in 2015. Seeking a change from their fast-paced city lives, they traded their theatre and business careers for a farm internship program at Full Sun Farm in North Carolina and never looked back. In 2017, they moved to Tyler's hometown in New Hampshire and started Partners' Gardens, naming their farm as an homage to Tyler's mother who had tended to this very land for almost 30 years as a homesteader.
The farm operates on land rich with family history and deep personal connection. Tyler's parents bought this property when it was all wooded area, envisioning the gorgeous spot at the top of a hill with beautiful mountainous views that it has become today. Tyler carries childhood memories of picking Japanese beetles and potato beetles off plants for a penny each, and the land holds even more precious memories as the place where he proposed and where he and Jenna married in 2018. This connection to the history and the many stories of the land drives their commitment to farm here for many years to come.
Today, Jenna serves as Business Manager, building sowing schedules, managing fields and social media, while farming Monday through Saturday. Tyler manages cover crops, soil amendments, and soil health while also working as a skilled carpenter building houses in the Nelson area. Together, they practice no-till and regenerative methods on their small-scale farm of under half an acre, believing that small farms across the globe help build strong, resilient communities. Their mission centers on growing with their soil, wildlife, and planet in mind first, working with nature instead of against it to create abundance, healthy soil, thriving wildlife, and nutritious food for their happy customers.
