Rebop Farm is a small, highly diversified, grass-based farm run by Ashlyn Bristle and Abraham McClurg on Sunset Lake Road in Brattleboro, Vermont. Ashlyn, originally from North Carolina, developed an interest in farming through a college cheesemaking course and discovered Vermont as a farming paradise while working at Farm & Wilderness in Plymouth. Abraham grew up on a farm before moving to Seattle as a child. Together they established Rebop Farm, which is organic in practice though not certified.
The farm intensively grazes Jersey and Jersey-cross dairy cows and a flock of Katahdin sheep, pastures poultry, and raises pigs. They produce and sell raw cow's milk, pastured pork, lamb, beef, rose veal, rabbit, chicken, duck, turkey, honey, maple syrup, and ferments. Their farm store -- open every day of the year -- carries their own products plus items from other local farms. The farm also offers a meat CSA, vegetable CSA, workshops on topics like cheesemaking, butchery, fermentation, and sausage making, and hosts intimate house concerts and farm dinners. Over a quarter of their meat CSA customers participate in the NOFA-VT Farm Share program for low-income families.
