Rockey Ole Farm was established in 2016 by the Hall Family, fourth generation farmers who chose to build their operation on the historic site of an apple orchard in South Concord, New Hampshire. The 10-acre farm at 141 Silk Farm Road represents a restoration of agricultural tradition, as the Hall family has transformed the old apple orchard location into a thriving working vegetable farm that honors both the land's heritage and their family's farming legacy.
The farm is operated as a true family enterprise by Wayne Sr., Roberta, and Wayne Jr. Hall, with dedicated assistance from a loyal group of friends who share in the farm's mission. The Rock, as it's affectionately known, features multiple greenhouses and open fields with row crops, creating a diverse growing environment that allows for varied production throughout the seasons. Their approach to farming emphasizes traditional methods and personal connection to the land.
While not certified organic, Rockey Ole Farm maintains a steadfast commitment to natural growing practices, using no pesticides or chemicals in their production process. The Hall family embraces what they call farming "the old way," relying on hard work, patience, and a deep dependence on the weather to guide their operations. This philosophy reflects their belief that quality produce comes from respecting natural processes and maintaining the authentic farming traditions passed down through generations.
