Sweetland Farm is a highly diversified family farm in Norwich, Vermont, founded in 2012 by Norah Lake on land conserved by the Vermont Land Trust. A Dartmouth College graduate with a background in environmental studies, Norah helped start the college's first organic farm CSA before launching Sweetland. The farm grows over 100 types of fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits using ecological practices, raises free-range pastured poultry and pigs, and produces quality feed hay. Sweetland operates a year-round full-diet farm store stocked with their own produce and meats alongside locally sourced dairy, eggs, fish, syrup, honey, and prepared foods. The farm runs a popular CSA program with weekly shares from mid-May through mid-October and hosts community events including seasonal celebrations, farm tours, and tastings. Sweetland is committed to sustainability through their "90 in 10" climate pledge and has invested in wood chip gasification boiler technology to extend the growing season with heated greenhouses.
