Vibrant Farm is a four-season, Certified Naturally Grown farm located in the heart of Litchfield County, Connecticut. Founded in 2021 by Meghan and Curtis Breuer, the farm was born of a shared desire to pursue a meaningful life rooted in sustainability, community, and connection to the land. Meghan and Curtis both studied geology at Union College and traveled the world together—Australia, New Zealand, the Bahamas—before leaving careers in environmental engineering and oilfield services to grow food, build soil, and nurture a deeper relationship with their surroundings.
Their farming journey began with apprenticeships and co-managing a diverse operation in New York. When that chapter closed, they launched Vibrant Farm on Old Mt. Tom Road in Bantam. Today, the farm thrives as a year-round operation, producing a diverse lineup of fresh greens, hearty roots, and fruit grown in greenhouses and nurtured through regenerative practices. From microgreens to winter squash, every harvest reflects their commitment to soil health, climate-resilient practices, and deep local partnerships.
Now heading into their fifth season, Meghan and Curtis have grown Vibrant Farm into a respected presence at area farmers' markets and on restaurant menus across Litchfield County. Their team—composed of passionate, community-minded individuals—helps bring each crop to life with intention and care. Through hard work and heart, Vibrant Farm has become not only a source of food but a force for good: a model of how small farms can feed communities while restoring the land and relationships that sustain them.
