Nestled on a quiet hillside in Lisbon, New Hampshire, Breezy Hill Farm is the heartfelt creation of Sam and Moriah Johansson, a couple who moved to the area in 2021 with dreams of living a more connected and sustainable life. What began on untouched forest land has blossomed into their home, their farm, and a life they feel truly grateful for. Their journey started small with just a few meat rabbits and a backyard garden, but after tasting their first homegrown meal, they were completely transformed by the flavor, pride, and connection to their food.
What started as a simple homestead quickly evolved into something much larger as the Johanssons expanded to pasture-raised pork, initially supplying friends and family before word spread and their pork waitlist filled completely. This overwhelming response made them realize their true calling: growing food not just for themselves, but for their entire community. Today, their diverse operation proudly raises pasture-raised pigs, Nubian dairy goats, laying hens, lamb, broiler chickens, geese, and ducks, producing an array of wholesome foods they believe are far superior to anything found on grocery store shelves.
At the heart of Breezy Hill Farm lies an unwavering commitment to raising animals with love, respect, and compassion. The Johanssons believe deeply that animals living happy, healthy lives with plenty of sunshine, space, snacks, and affection produce better food, and they say the difference is clear in every bite. When their farm stand opened in 2025, they were overwhelmed with joy at the community support, viewing it as a privilege to feed their neighbors. Built on hard work, gratitude, and a love for real, honest food, Breezy Hill Farm continues to grow and deepen its roots in northern New Hampshire while strengthening the local food community one meal at a time.
