About the Farm

Chase Hill Farm & Creamery began as a love story between farmers and their first family cow. What started as a dream sparked on a wonderful organic CSA farm in the valley evolved into a diversified livestock operation with dairy at its heart. The founders initially raised beef cows, sheep, broilers, and worked alongside others in pork and egg enterprises, but when they brought home their first dairy cow, they knew they had found their true calling.

Nestled in miles of State Forest land, the farm covers roughly 300 acres of beautiful Massachusetts hillside with both pasture and forest. From their farm store, a breathtaking view of Mt. Monadnock fills the horizon over the pastures where their cows and chickens graze alongside monarch butterflies and songbirds like the bobolink. They graze and make hay off of over 100 acres, while trees fill the remaining acres, purifying water and air, sequestering carbon, and sheltering endless plant and animal wildlife.

The farm operates with deep reverence for the land and their calling as stewards. They describe their work as a labor as old as the earth itself, tending a garden and caring for those who live within it. Their mission centers on sharing the fruits of their labor with others, producing certified organic, 100% grassfed dairy products and diversified livestock. Their 25 family cows, mostly Normandes with some Jerseys and crosses, eat only grass during the 180-day growing season and hay during winter months, never receiving grain as they transform sunlight into milk and meat.
