Rooted in the rich soil of Shelton, Connecticut, Laurel Glen Farm is a four-generation family farm devoted to growing over 80 varieties of fresh produce with honesty, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to community. The story began in the early 1900s when John Rogowski immigrated to the United States and planted the first seeds of Laurel Glen after leaving work in Pennsylvania’s coal mines. Originally a 100-acre dairy farm, the business evolved with the times, and by the 1970s, shifted to beef and hay under the stewardship of Peter and Alexander Rogowski.
In 2013, the next chapter began when Randy Rogowski returned to his roots and transformed the farm into a thriving, sustainable vegetable operation. Together with his partner Victoria, who brings warmth and creativity to community engagement and CSA management, the family reimagined the farm not only as a source of nourishment, but as a hub for connection. Whether through weekly subscription boxes, pick-your-own days, or potluck breakfasts, Laurel Glen has become a beloved gathering place that centers around wholesome food and heartfelt hospitality.
Today, every bunch of Swiss chard, jar of Sunday Sauce, or pint of just-picked raspberries represents more than a product—it is the culmination of generational labor, environmental stewardship, and genuine love for feeding others. Laurel Glen is proud to use sustainable practices including crop rotation, IPM, composting, biodegradable mulch, and drip irrigation to preserve the land they’ve cherished for over a century. As Randy and Victoria raise their young children among the rows and tractors, they continue to write the farm’s story—with humility, joy, and deep gratitude for the community that supports it.
