After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Joseph and Kimberley made the meaningful decision to return to Kim's home state of Vermont with their children, seeking a simpler life in the rural countryside. In 2017, they purchased a small 30+ acre property and embarked on an ambitious restoration project, transforming a once-thriving sheep pasture into a regenerative silvopasture for their livestock.
Nestled near the base of Mount Ascutney in Windsor, Vermont's Upper Valley area, New Morning Farmstead represents more than just a return to the land. The family jumped at the opportunity to raise their own food while sharing that abundance with their community, driven by a passion for knowing exactly where their food comes from and mastering the art of caring for their animals.
This dedication to quality animal husbandry results in premium products including raw milk and hand-crafted milk soap for their customers. As a tier-1, raw milk producer licensed in Vermont, they maintain complete transparency with all licensing, compliance, and animal health testing paperwork available for public review in their shop. Their farmstead is home to Irish Dexter cows, various breeds of goats, and an assortment of chickens, creating a diverse and thriving agricultural operation.
