Paskamansett Farms is a 27-acre family-owned dairy farm on Tucker Road in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Owner Bill Coutu purchased the land in 1991 when it went up for auction, and his family originally focused on growing vegetables and running a nursery. His young son Tom, then 9 years old, started collecting cows, and the herd eventually grew to about 40. After undergoing a state licensing process, the farm began selling raw milk, becoming one of the largest dairy farms in the state specializing exclusively in raw milk sales. Bill's son Tom now milks the cows and keeps the operation going through blizzards and power outages.
The cows are mostly grass-fed with occasional grain, never given BST or antibiotics. The farm stand sells raw cow's milk in glass and plastic containers, fresh eggs, and a variety of meats from chest freezers. An ice cream stand operates seasonally, drawing loyal customers for homemade flavors. Goats greet visitors from an enclosure near the parking lot, and cows can be seen grazing behind the classic red barn.
