About the Farm
Stout Oak Farm is a certified organic, solar-powered vegetable farm located on a historic property in Brentwood, New Hampshire. The farm is run by Kate Donald and sits on land previously owned by the Lyford/Robinson family, whose sloping fields, woodlands, and wetlands have been protected by an agricultural conservation easement since 2012. As stewards of this historic land, the farm is committed to taking good care of the soil and providing delicious, healthy food for the community.
Stout Oak Farm grows five to six acres of certified organic vegetables for its seasonal farm store, CSA shares, farmers markets, and local restaurants. In 2014, the farm co-founded Three River Farmers Alliance, a farmer-owned distribution cooperative that delivers produce to restaurants and wholesale customers throughout the region. In 2018, the farm launched a collaboration with Clyde Farm, which raises certified organic chickens, turkeys, and sheep on Stout Oak's pastures.
The farm store operates on an honor system and carries Stout Oak's own organic vegetables alongside products from other local farms, including milk, yogurt, and cheeses delivered weekly from Brookford Farm.
