About the Farm

Veronica’s Garden is a labor of love deeply rooted in the heart of Ridgefield, Connecticut. For over 28 years, Farmer Bob DiNucci has cultivated this land, transforming what began as a modest backyard hobby into a flourishing example of sustainable farming. Though not certified organic, Veronica’s Garden adheres strictly to natural practices—eschewing synthetic pesticides and using only organic inputs, compost, and non-GMO seeds. Each season brings new lessons, challenges, and rewards, all of which are met with unflagging commitment and ingenuity.

From their primary farm stand in Ridgefield and their second location in Danbury, the team offers an abundant selection of heirloom vegetables, seasonal greens, and hand-prepared items like farm-fresh pesto. Their CSA program, a cornerstone of the farm’s mission, connects the community to the rhythms of the harvest, offering members weekly boxes of the freshest local produce from June through October. Veronica’s Garden also proudly partners with regional markets and community organizations—including local social services and The Salvation Army—to expand access to healthy food and reduce food waste by donating surplus harvests to animal sanctuaries.

Weathering unpredictable seasons of droughts, storms, and frosts, the spirit of Veronica’s Garden remains deeply resilient. Farmer Bob, with a catalog in hand and dirt under his fingernails, is ever eager to explore new varieties and adapt to changing climates. With the help of devoted staff, loyal CSA members, and interns who return year after year, Veronica’s Garden continues to nourish not just the soil, but the community it serves. It stands as a beacon of dedication, integrity, and the simple, profound joy of feeding others well.
